Michele et Patrice Rion, Bonnes Mares other_regions_italy plenty of black fruit laced
Platform notes & fabric story
Description
plenty of black fruit laced with tar and black pepper
even opulence as the medium-bodied flavors really fan out on the saline-inflected finish
It has a very classical profile
This is a wine coming into its own with plenty more energy still
the supporting tannins are somewhat drying and this tends to cut the finish short
Michele et Patrice Rion, Bonnes Mares other_regions_italy plenty of black fruit laced(from a small parcel that makes on average one barrel annually; 100% new wood). A brooding and restrained nose of notably cool red currant, earth and ferrous earth aromas are in keeping with the equally serious and tightly wound flavors that possess a sleek muscularity on the dense and superbly long finish. The supporting tannins are firm but clearly phenolically mature and this should repay 12 to 15 years of aging. (92 94) 2021+
