That media pulls chlorine, chloramine, iron, sulfur, heavy metals, and scale from your feed water. The KDF85 CAT is bacteriostatic too, holding back microorganism growth inside the housing. Chloramine needs this filter. Standard carbon will not touch it. KDF85
